- Longer sessions cost less per hour — 8 hours with Eric works out to about $56/hr
- How much you pay up front depends on the engineer and service — some take a 50% deposit, others are paid in full. EngineEars shows the exact amount before you confirm
- Book at least 24 hours ahead with Eric and 12 hours ahead with Dillon; we leave at least 15 minutes between sessions

Before you book
What to send.
Getting the files right the first time saves you a week. Here's the whole checklist.
Your files
- 24-bit WAV or AIFF, at the sample rate you recorded in
- All files starting at bar one, same length, so they line up
- Grouped as drums, bass, instruments and vocals
- Vocals wet and dry — send both if you have them
- Named clearly. "Lead Vox Dry" beats "Audio 07"
Sending a master?
Mastering starts from a finished mix, so what it needs is different.
- One final stereo mix — the bounced song, not stems
- 24-bit WAV or AIFF, at your session sample rate
- No limiter or clipper on the master bus, if you can help it
- Leave a little headroom — peaks around -6dB
- Say whether you want streaming levels or something pushed louder
2-track or full stems?
A 2-track mix means one instrumental file plus your vocal stems. That's it.
If the instrumental arrives as more than one file — beat switches, sound design, separated drums or 808s — that's a full-stem mix, and it's priced differently.
Book the wrong one and it gets rebilled at the full-stem rate before any work starts, which costs you days. If you're not sure which you have, ask us first.
