About booking

How booking
works.

Tap any Book button and you pick everything right here: the engineer, the day and time or your songs, and the price. The only EngineEars page you’ll see is the checkout.

The steps

  1. Tap Book. Pick recording time, or mixing and mastering.
  2. Pick it all. For a session: the engineer, the day, the start time and how many hours. For a mix or a master: the engineer, the service and how many songs. The price shows at every step.
  3. Type your artist name and tap Book now. That sets the booking up on EngineEars with everything filled in.
  4. Pay on the EngineEars checkout. A session is yours once it’s paid; until then the time stays open for anyone. A mix or master starts once it’s paid.

Recording sessions

  • In person in Studio A, Knightdale, NC, with the engineer you pick.
  • The price is the room plus your engineer: Studio A is $22/hr. With Eric it’s $67/hr all-in, with Dillon $52/hr all-in.
  • Sessions run 2 to 8 hours. Longer sessions cost less per hour: 8 hours with Eric works out to about $56/hr.
  • Book at least 24 hours ahead with Eric and 12 hours ahead with Dillon. The calendar only shows times that are really open.
  • The current promo goes on your booking by itself. See Promos.

Mixing and mastering

  • Remote, worldwide. Turnaround is 3 to 5 business days; ask before you book if you need it rushed.
  • Eric: 2-track mix $199, full-stem mix $499, mastering $129, per song. The full-stem mix comes mastered, with heavy discounts for bulk purchasing. Working with a budget? Tap Book, pick mixing, and text or email Eric.
  • Dillon: 2-track mix $100, full-stem mix $130, Dolby Atmos mix $200, mastering $50, per song. Add mastering to a mix for $50 a song.
  • Free revisions come with most services; the count depends on the engineer and the service, and the menu shows it before you book. Every revision with Eric can run as a live MUSE session at no extra charge.
  • Not sure whether you have a 2-track or full stems? See what to send, or ask us first.

Paying

  • You pay on EngineEars, never on this site. Their checkout adds a service fee of about 3.5%, and the menu shows the total with it before you book.
  • Some services take a deposit and others are paid in full; the checkout shows the exact amount.
  • Your card goes to EngineEars only. We never see it.
