This is an agreement between you and Eric Trexler, doing business as Stratosphere DSP and Stratosphere Records (“we”, “us”), Knightdale, North Carolina. By installing or using Featherweight, you agree to it.

What you get
- When you buy Featherweight, you get a personal license to use it. You do not buy the software itself; we keep ownership of it.
- You may activate it on up to 5 computers you own or use. To move it to a new computer, deactivate an old one.
- You may use it in any music you make, for any purpose, including paid and commercial work. Your music is yours. We claim nothing in what you make with it.
- The free 14-day trial is for trying it out. When the trial ends, the plugin stops working until you buy a license.
- You can pay in full, or in 4 monthly payments. With monthly payments the license is yours to keep once the 4th payment goes through. If a payment fails and is not made up, the license stops working until it is.
What you may not do
- Share, sell, rent or give away your license or license file.
- Copy the plugin for anyone else, or put it on a file-sharing site.
- Get around the license check, or take the plugin apart to copy how it works, except where the law allows it anyway.
License check
Featherweight checks its license with our store (Moonbase) when you start a trial, when you activate, and now and then after that. Offline activation is available for computers that are not online. What this sends is listed in our privacy policy.
Updates
Bug-fix updates for your version are free. A future major version may be a paid upgrade. You never have to update.
Refunds
Please use the free 14-day trial to make sure Featherweight works for you before you buy. All sales are final, and we do not give refunds, unless the law where you live says otherwise. If you are charged twice by mistake, email us and we will fix it.
No promises beyond this
We work hard on Featherweight, but it comes “as is”. We do not promise it will be free of bugs or right for every use. Save your sessions and keep backups. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for lost work, lost profits or other indirect losses. Our total responsibility to you is never more than what you paid for your license.
Ending the license
If you break this agreement, your license can be turned off. You can stop using Featherweight and delete it at any time.
The rest
- North Carolina law applies.
- If we change this agreement, the new version applies to new purchases. The version you agreed to stays in place for your license.
